This part of the website was designed to allow current and former patients of Dr. Borestein's practice, with their permission, to share their stories and advice with others suffering with similar problems. More personal accounts will be added periodically.
A Sampling of Patients' Experiences
- A 65-year old woman with severe back pain is finding relief with an active lifestyle and medication. Dr. Borenstein credits her spirit and positive outlook for much of her progress.
- A 45-year old woman who, as a teenager suffered from scoliosis, now works long hours at a desk, continues to experience discomfort. Because her spinal curve was severe and a brace did not help, Harrington rods were placed in her spine. After her surgery, she continues her therapy with daily non-steroidal medication and a water aerobics class multiple times a week.
- A man in his mid-50s who has suffered from a herniated disk. After extensive testing and medical therapy, he was relief and now lives a relatively pain-free lifeand appears not to need surgery.
